Accommodation on your Loka East Coast Adventure
We use a variety of accommodation on the East Coast from private lodges, backpacker hostels to camping in tipis!
Accommodation is not included in the price your Loka pass, this is so you have the flexibility to stay longer at any place you choose. You can book your accommodation via the Loka web app (you get logins once you purchase your pass) and can choose where you stay and for how long.
At most locations the price of accommodation in a shared dorm room ranges from $25 – $45 (average approx $32) and $40 – 90 per person for a twin/double room. Private rooms are subject to availability.
At our special stops it’s a set price for your bed and meals (and activities where applicable), either due to their remoteness and/or lack of kitchen facilities.
We camp in swags (traditional Australian canvas cover with a foam mattress inside that encloses both the bedding and sleeper) at the River Retreat and Country Campout. We sleep in tents at the Indigenous Camp.
At the main towns i.e. Byron Bay, Airlie Beach, Noosa, Cairns, you have a choice of accommodation and can go for a basic dorm bed or upgrade to whatever suits your budget.
Hostels hold allocations so that we can guarantee a bed. In peak season they release these allocations within 48 hours prior to arrival so we encourage you to prebook through the Loka web app to get your first choice.
